The following is a list of commonly asked questions that may help clarify a few things relating to our caravan park and the surrounding Grampians area. Please contact us if you need additional information on any of our services:


Where is Halls Gap? Where is the caravan park?

Halls Gap is located at the foot of The Grampians, just 31/2 hours (251km) drive from Melbourne or 5 hours (501km) from Adelaide. Plan your route from Melbourne, plan your route from Adelaide.

On entering the main street of Halls Gap, cross over the bridge, and once past the shops on your left hand side you will see Dunkeld Road on your right. Our entrance is then clearly visible.

Can you provide extra bedding?
Does it get hot in Halls Gap?
Even during Summer, it can get chilly at night! We can provide extra bedding to suit your needs. Just ask when you book in.
During the Summer months (December - February) temperatures can range from 15°C (59°F) during the night to 42°C (107°F) during the day. While in Winter (June to August) temperatures can range from 0°C (32°F) at night to 18°C (64°F) during the day.

Are the bushwalks dangerous?
Can I really see Kangaroos?
Be careful bushwalking!

Most of the popular bushwalking tracks are clearly marked and have safety fences. However like any Australian bush adventure, care should be taken and the correct equipment packed before departure. Good walking boots, water, hat and sunscreen should be on the top of your list. Please talk to us first, we can suggest the best walking tracks for you and your family.

Come see the neighbours!

It is not uncommon for Kangaroos to venture through our park before sunset and photo opportunities are usually plentiful. Please remember that these are wild animals, so maintain a safe distance so both you and the Kangaroo can enjoy the moment.
